MY UTERUS AND ME

My Uterus and Me explores Hopkinson’s evolving relationship with her reproductive organ, a companion, burden, and symbol of identity. Through a series of performative self-portraits and still lifes, they documents their journey with a hand-made plush uterus, moving through both London’s public and domestic spaces.
Through scale, craft, and performance, they examine the unseen weight of feminine expectation, questioning how the body can both perform and protest, turning private experiences into an act of resistance.
