This series reinterprets the feminine ideals captured in 19th-century statues through a lens of female autonomy, inspired by the classical drapery and sexuality of 19th centuary Greek statues. It also delves into my personal relationship with nudity and self-image, and as these are self portraits, I’m rejecting the passive roles often assigned to women in classical art, instead presenting my body as a real, layered identity shaped by my own gaze.
